I have been wanting to take more pictures, but I never seem to have my digital camera with me, I do almost always have my phone with me…
So I have decided what I need to do is get a camera phone.
I called Surewest wireless and asked about my cell phone plan, I have no idea what cell phone plan I have, I almost don’t even remember signing up for it.
They tell me that I signed up for a 2 year plan and it is up in 4 months.
The last time my phone died it was really nice because my plan was up and I just went in and signed up again and they gave me a free phone.
That beats the heck out of insurance, so if you can make it to the end of your plan without a problem then you basically have free insurance from that point on.
The customer service person said that I can sign up for a new cell phone plan during the last 2 months of my current plan, that means that I really only have to wait 1 year and 10 months not the full 2 years.
That is kind of cool, the only other problem is that when my last phone died, it happen to be when they were running a promotion, and I got $4.00 off my monthly service bill, they run these promotions for cell phone plans around the holidays.
So if I change plans now, I will lose my $4.00 savings per month, with adds up. Over 2 years I will have saved, almost $100 bucks.
I asked and it’s not a major holiday now so they don’t have any promotions, the person told me that had been working there last Christmas and they had a lot of promotions including the $4.00 off per month, but they didn’t know when they would have it again.
One more policy they have is a 1 time upgrade, you can do it anytime after 10 months into your current plan, where they will let you sign up for a new 2 year plan and get a new phone, but the catch is that if you have the $4.00 promotion discount, then you lose it, and have to start paying full price for you monthly cell phone service.
